Booked a basic room with a balcony and it was totally worth it! 🌞.

The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They offered suggestions on where to go and how to get there, and they put extra lotion in my room after having noticed my sunburn. The room and bathroom were nice, spacious, and clean. There was a safety deposit box, flat screen TV, and a small balcony with a nice view. I enjoyed the included buffet breakfast as well. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Great location in San Jose.
My shower didn't work, but I stayed in the hotel only for a weekend, so I didn't bother saying anything and just used the bath, as there was a plug for the bath.

This is our favourite hotel and San Jose is one of our favourite places in Spain. We have been back 4 times now and intend to visit again soon! The hotel is small and friendly, relaxing and peaceful. The rooms are bright and clean. The staff make you so welcome - it feels like coming home. The breakfast is very nice and you can have it outside in the garden if you wish.

The hotel is delightful and tasteful. the staff is wonderful. the location is amazing, right by the center of San José, a stone's throw from the sea front and the beaches Los Genoveses and El Mónsul. the standard room was incredibly comfortable with a balcony. Extras like a mini bar, central heating, and multi-channel TV were appreciated.

It was a pleasure staying at the hotel. The room wasn't big, but it had a really nice balcony, and had everything you needed. Everything looked quite new, clean and classy. There was a very pleasant terrace in front of the hotel but not on the street, so it was secluded but outside. The staff were obliging and very kind, even when we had to use a bit of sign language, everyone came out feeling satisfied. The hotel is not at the beach, but that I think is an advantage. It's a quiet side street, but everything is a five minute walk away - the city beach, the main street, restaurants and supermarkets.
There was no AC so with the sticky sea air, the room was quite stuffy during the day. There was though some sort of a cooling vent, but it didn't work well when we were there, but maybe in the summer it'll be functional.

We were there in May, and there were only 2 more couples with us. Breakfast is very good, it is pretty close to the beach and is very easy to get Monsul and Genoveses beach.Very clean, and looks like a hotel, not a hostel. Terrific balcony, I love it!!
Even though we were only 3 couples, we had one of those in the upper floor, this means more noise, but it was ok. TV is very small

Excellent value for money. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The hotel is in a quiet location but close to all facilities and parking was easy . The restaurant meal we had was superb. With so much indifferent food about in Spain, it is worth paying a bit more for something worth eating
The fact that is is classed as a 2 star hostal means that booking without having seen it is a bit of an act of faith. However we had no need to worry

The service was excellent, we felt welcome. Had impeccably clean room with a balcony, the bedroom, terrace for a such great stay. The breakfast was sensational with pastries, meats, muesli, you will not be disappointed.
Can’t fault anything about it.
